Skin Rejuvenation
Skin Rejuvenation
As the skin ages it looses elasticity due to a reduction in collagen production. Age spots and pigmentation can also occur caused by the abnormal production of melanin. IPL can greatly reduce the visible signs of aging by using a uniquely programmed wave length to destroy hyper pigmented lesions and stimulate collagen production resulting in smoother skin texture and reduction in redness/age spots and uneven skin tone.
How many treatments will I need?
You will need between 3 and 6 treatments to reduce pigmentation but for collagen stimulation a longer course is recommended for optimum results.
How will my skin react?
This varies depending on your skin type, during treatment you will experience a heat sensation, this indicates the treatment is effective. Most clients experience a redness to their skin and it can fell hot similar to sun exposure, this may last anytime between 2 hours and a few days. The areas of pigmentation will appear darker in colour and a slight crust may appear which will gradually reduce over a few days. Aloe vera is recommended after treatment if needed.
